Dana is a certified physician assistant originally from the Milwaukee area and a diehard Green Bay Packer fan. She has been with The Steadman Clinic since completing her Physician Assistant (MPAS) degree in 2021 at Mass General Hospital/Harvard University in Boston. During her time at MGH, she was able to expand her orthopedic background and leadership by serving as her PA Class Core Exam leader and anatomy lab tutor for musculoskeletal and rheumatology sub-sections.
Prior to her time in Boston, she lived in Chicago for nearly 10 years providing high-level orthopedic care while traveling with Division 1 Collegiate athletics and U.S. Women’s Soccer until transitioning to clinical medicine as a physician extender at Northwestern University and Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. At Lurie, she focused on pediatric emergency and non- operative orthopedic medicine, community education, outreach and research. All these steppingstones made possible with a firm foundation in her undergraduate education at The University of Iowa where she majored in Exercise Science with emphasis in Athletic Training while working with the Hawkeye Football, Volleyball, Wrestling and Gymnastic Programs.
While incredibly grateful for the time and professional nurturing in both Chicago and Boston her passion for orthopedics rooted in a life dedicated as a multi-sport athlete in basketball, softball, but most successfully as competitive high school and collegiate cross country runner. After college, this energy channeled into endurance triathlon and Ironman competitions which is where her desire to serve as a provider in keeping all patients chasing their active endeavors originates. When not working to keep others active or planning her next running adventure, Dana can be found watching sports or spending time with her best friend and fiesty Cocker Spaniel, Blaze.
