Blake Scherer is a certified physician assistant who joined The Steadman Clinic team in December 2021. A native of Basalt, Colorado, Blake is proud to provide orthopedic care in the mountain community that shaped his love for movement, adventure, and helping others stay active.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Boise State University—affectionately referred to as the “Harvard of Idaho”—where he developed a strong foundation in health sciences and an even stronger love for college football. Blake then returned to his home state to complete his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction.
Blake works closely with Dr. Lee, specializing in sports medicine, joint preservation, and surgical management of the knee, shoulder, and hip. Whether assisting in the operating room or managing recovery plans in clinic, he prioritizes personalized, efficient care and is committed to helping patients get back to doing what they love.
Outside of work, Blake enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling to new places, and learning just about anything. He believes good care starts with good conversation, so feel free to ask him about last night’s game or your next bucket-list destination.
