Jan is a medical assistant who joined The Steadman Clinic in September 2024. Originally from Texas, Jan brings a strong academic background and a deep passion for patient care to the team. He earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience, environmental science, and molecular biology from Colorado College, where he also competed in cross country and was first introduced to the world of high-level sports medicine and the Colorado mountains.
Jan’s firsthand experience with injury prevention and recovery sparked his interest in orthopedics and aided in his pursuit of a medical career. Working at The Steadman Clinic in the heart of the active Roaring Fork Valley aligns with his desire to help others stay active, healthy, and doing what they love—whether that's biking, skiing, hiking, or running. He himself enjoys road cycling, trail running, and exploring the valley outside of work and medical school preparation.
Known among his colleagues for his calm demeanor, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn, Jan is a dependable team player who prioritizes compassionate, detail-oriented care. He continually shows up with a smile on his face and strives to help make patient experiences at The Steadman Clinic comfortable and informative.
